Q: You've been on a lot of stages despite only debuting three months ago. Do you have a favorite stage?
The first stage that comes to mind is the pre-debut KCON LA special stage. It was the moment I was most nervous, but that nervousness actually helped me complete the stage better. I came off the stage feeling proud because I think I did much better than during practice.
Q: How did you feel standing on such a big stage before your official debut?
Since my trainee days, I would always imagine how I would feel standing on a big stage like this when I went to my seniors' concerts. I was curious about what it would be like to hear the cheers from the audience from the stage, as a spectator. When I actually stood on stage, it was several times more thrilling than I had imagined.
Q: "Talk Saxy" has a completely different vibe from your previous songs. What kind of image did you want to show through this activity?
I wanted to show that Riize has this kind of versatility. While "Memories" and "Get A Guitar" have a fresh feeling that we could only show during our debut, talk saxy is a song that shows the direction and color that Riize is pursuing more specifically.
Q: You've been on stage with various songs like "Memories," "Siren," "Get A Guitar," and "Talk Saxy." I'm curious which song's stage you like the most.
It's "Siren." Personally, I think I can't show 100% of what I have if I'm overwhelmed by the cheers of the fans on stage. "Siren" is a song that exudes enough energy to match the overwhelming enthusiasm of the fans. It's the hardest song physically because of the high-difficulty performance, but that's what makes it good.
Q: You are also known as the group's representative all-rounder member. What part are you particularly ambitious about?
Since I'm a singer, it's definitely the vocals. When I look at seniors who have been receiving love from the public for a long time, they all have outstanding vocal skills. When I see seniors who have captivated people's hearts for a long time with their skills, I think it's really cool.
Q: Is there an artist you consider a role model?
They are artists who have an overwhelming aura that can captivate the audience even if they just stand still on stage, doing nothing. For example, someone like Michael Jackson. I can't help but admire the performances of these artists.
Q: I know you're more of a night owl than a morning person. Night is a good time to have some time to yourself. I'm curious what you usually do when you're alone at night.
I watch YouTube and sometimes just zone out. On really tired days, I don't think about anything, but on days when I'm not that tired, I have a lot of thoughts running through my head. It usually starts with things related to the stage. For example, "Should I do this move on the next stage?" and so on. That naturally goes into "What should I wear tomorrow?" and then "Should I sleep in the car or not when I'm traveling?" and so on. It never ends. (laughs) I've also been working hard on skincare lately. I spray a lot of (brand name) mist before going to bed and my face is hydrated the next morning.
Q: You are also known as the team's casual fashionista. What style are you into these days?
I've been into cardigans lately. If you choose the right one, it can make your body look slimmer and your shoulders wider, so I love them. There's one important thing to keep in mind when wearing a cardigan: match the inner T-shirt well. I prefer deep V-neck T-shirts.
Q: Do you have any tips on how to choose the right inner T-shirt?
First, the material should be thin. And my collarbone should show well. That's the most important point. (laughs)
