All about Park Wonbin
ALL ROUNDER
Vocalist
Wonbin's distinct position is that of a main/lead vocalist. As an essential part of the vocal line, he's known as the "opening fairy" because he frequently sings the introductory and chorus parts of their songs. His voice is often the first thing you hear, setting the tone for the entire track.
Wonbin possesses a clear, charming vocal tone with a unique husky undertone. This husky aspect is well-showcased in the opening verses of songs like "Siren" and "Get A Guitar."
Throughout 2023 and early 2024, Wonbin received praise for his vocals while covering various songs with the members. He gained particular acclaim for his performance of "Rising Sun '' with the members as part of a special stage with label senior TVXQ at the 2023 MAMA Awards. Here, Wonbin demonstrated his ability to maintain his individuality while powerfully delivering high notes, showing a high understanding of his part and effectively conveying the song's intent. Even Kim Jaejoong, the original singer, remarked that when Wonbin sang his part, he was much better than he was, which really surprised him.

At the SBS Gayo Daejeon, he covered Kyuhyun's part in "white christmas" earning praise for his charming delivery and suitability for band music. He earned further praise for his delivery of Onew, Jonghyun, and Taemin's parts in SHINee's debut song "Replay" on "The Seasons - Hyori's Red Carpet." Here, Wonbin was well-received for his ability to effectively sing Jonghyun's part, considered difficult for others to perform due to its distinct vocal style.

Adding to this, Wonbin uploaded his first ever solo cover video on October 1, 2024, performing "Don't Let Me Down" by Leroy Sanchez. The cover showed a different style from his group's which make his gained praise from fans and the orginal singer calling the cover "amazing".
Wonbin embodies SM's signature vocal style, which, while not always evident in RIIZE's music due to the group's concept, becomes apparent when he performs covers of songs by label seniors. His distinct vocals are actively used in RIIZE's songs to add a dynamic touch or to elevate the climax. While he is particularly praised for his unique tone and color in the high register, he's also highly skilled at handling mid-to-low range parts.
Overall, Wonbin is a skilled vocalist with a wide range and impressive technique, capable of delivering both powerful and emotional vocals. His unique vocal style is both charming and versatile, making him a valuable asset to RIIZE and a promising vocalist in the K-pop industry.

Detail-Oriented
Wonbin places great importance on detail. In an interview with M:ZINE (date: 240413), Anton described Wonbin's dance style as being focused on detail. This can also be seen in RISE&REALLIZE's choreography, where he often highlights the key points of the movements. In another interview, Wonbin himself identified detail as his greatest strength. He said, "I have a good eye for detail, so I can catch even the slightest mistake and make sure the outcome is at least not bad." He also said that he constantly analyzes and critiques his own performances, even down to how he performs individual movements. This combination of research, feedback, and his innate ability to quickly absorb new things on stage leads to a rapid increase in the quality of his performances as he gains more stage experience.
Dynamic movements
Wonbin is known for his large, dynamic movements. This dynamism is a development of the characteristics described above. For example, when he does a head-turning movement, he will often exaggerate the movement by making a larger arc or adding a bounce. This characteristic is especially noticeable in large spaces (practice rooms, concert halls, etc.).
This skill has not gone unnoticed by top industry professionals. Both SM performance and choreographer have praised his movements, saying he used his body well and his movements have quality. Furthermore, Kim Kyungchan, the head of performance production at SM Entertainment, has specifically praised Wonbin’s ability to express emotion through his body. The director gave several examples: "During RIIZE’s first fan concert, we used a laser curtain to create the illusion that they crossed into a different time and space. After i explained the concept, Wonbin acted it out perfectly." He added, with a smile, that Wonbin was just as intuitive with their next project. "This time as well, in the stage for 'Honestly,' i told him the setting was that he was trapped in a glass box and trying to push out of it to escape oppression, and he pulled it off right away."
Choreographer
Wonbin is also capable of creating choreography. He collaborated with Shotaro to create the choreography for the group dance video that was uploaded to RIIZE's official Instagram account on the day of their debut. This choreography was fundamental to decide Riize final line up. After debut he also participated in the creation of the choreography for the chorus of "Love 119."
Visual
Wonbin is the visual center of RIIZE.
With his thin double eyelids and large, horizontally elongated eyes, he possesses a harmonious facial structure that is often praised for its captivating eyes.
Wonbin's appearance is often praised by fans for its blend of masculine and feminine qualities. His masculine features, such as a sharp, slim face shape and a slightly aquiline straight nose, exude a handsome aura, reminiscent of both male celebrities and charming manga protagonists. In contrast, his large eyes and plump lips lend a more feminine, captivating quality to his overall look.
When asked about his charming points he chose his eyes and lips. Beyond his striking appearance, Wonbin's stage presence and ability to convey emotions through facial expressions are equally impressive, as showcased in RIIZE's music video for "Siren." He effortlessly portrays even the most playful expressions, captivating the audience with his versatility.
Wonbin's inherent charisma is a defining feature, often overshadowing compliments about his physical beauty. In an interview for Numero Tokyo, when asked what he is most confident about, he confidently replied, "My aura."

Even before his debut, Wonbin's visuals garnered praise from numerous senior celebrities. In fact, on Song Euni and Kim Sook's podcast, Wonbin was mentioned for his handsome looks. Another prominent figure is Lee Hyori, who confessed to having searched Wonbin's airport pictures beforehand. This continued when actor Lee Jehoon, on his YouTube content "Vlog in Tokyo," remarked how good-looking Wonbin was after meeting him. Finally, Hong SeokCheon even named Wonbin as a face that "will take care of South Korea for 30 years.
Comparisons between Wonbin and popular idols and actors from the 1990s and 2000s are frequent. Fans often mention not only Korean celebrities but also Japanese and Chinese stars, some of whom share not just a similar vibe or aura but also facial resemblances. One prominent comparison is to Japanese singer-actor Takuya Kimura.
From his debut to the promotions for "Impossible," Wonbin sported long hair, which quickly became his trademark. He is often recognized as an idol who perfectly suits long hairstyles. His long hair has even been featured in hair styling short-form content, and actor Kim Ji-hoon once shared on Seo In-guk's YouTube channel that he requested a "Wonbin-inspired" hairstyle and outfit to match his idol hip-hop vibe.
Wonbin is a member who has been praised for his visuals and has been a hot topic since his debut. In fact, there is already an actor with the same name who is known for his good looks, so it could have been a burden to use this name as his stage name. However, he received a positive response from the very first day of his debut, with many people saying that he "lives up to the name."
